Teaching examinations or teaching qualifications completed/acquired in other federal states are recognized in Brandenburg as part of the recruitment process.

If you have completed your teacher training degree from another federal state, you can apply for employment in the preparatory service in Brandenburg; if you have completed your teacher training degree or your teaching qualification from another federal state, you can apply for employment in the teaching profession in Brandenburg.

• You can find out which documents are required in your case on the Internet. Further documents can be submitted or requested (e.g. severe disability, birth certificates of children or relatives in need of care)

You have completed a teacher training course in a federal state other than Brandenburg with the degree of First State Examination or Master of Education and / or successfully completed the preparatory service in another federal state.

None (there is no separate application procedure in Brandenburg)

After the application for employment has been received online or in writing,

• will be checked in accordance with 13 (1) and (2) of the Brandenburg Teacher Training Act,
• Furthermore, the documents will be checked for completeness and, if necessary, additional documents or information will be requested.

As no application has to be submitted, no processing time can be specified. Once the application documents have been received, they will be processed promptly

• for the preparatory service by the MBJS / Department 36,
• for employment in the state school service by the relevant state education authority.

No deadlines

Applications for the preparatory service are generally submitted by the deadlines (April 2 and October 5 of each year).

• Recognition for access to the preparatory service in the recruitment process (recruitment and recognition form a unit)
• Recognition of teaching qualification / (2nd) state examination in the recruitment process (recruitment and recognition form a single unit)
• KMK-compliant qualifications are recognized in the course of recruitment to the preparatory service or the teaching profession
