Association of recognized forestry cooperatives or similar associations to adapt forestry production to market requirements

Forestry associations (FV) are private-law associations of forestry communities or similar associations. Their sole purpose is to adapt forestry production and the sale of forestry products to the requirements of the market.

• Informal application for recognition and granting of legal capacity
• Copy of the founding minutes of the association
• Copy of the attendance list of the founding meeting
• Original articles of association adopted, dated and signed by all board members
• List of members and areas of the FV
• Contact details of the FV
• Application for exemption from fees, if applicable

• The FV must be a legal entity under private law and should comply with the provisions of association law.
• An FV is recognized by the supreme forestry authority.
• The FA must be suitable for working towards the sustainable adaptation of forestry production and the sale of forest products.
• The statutes must contain provisions on the task of the FV and its financing.
• The FV must allow significant competition to exist on the timber market.

• According to § 20 of the Fees Act for the State of Brandenburg, an application for exemption from fees can be made on the grounds of special public interest.

• Submission of an informal written application for recognition and granting of legal capacity to the supreme forestry authority of the state
