A water usage fee must be paid for the withdrawal of water or groundwater.

The State of Brandenburg levies a charge on the user of a water body for the abstraction and discharge of water from surface waters and the abstraction, pumping, pumping and discharge of groundwater. The amount of water that is returned to a body of water under the conditions specified in the law is deducted. This fee is not charged in the cases specified in § 40 Paragraph 4 BbgWG. This applies, for example, to permit-free uses or small quantities.

Water users must be charged a water usage fee in accordance with Section 40 of the Brandenburg Water Act (BbgWG) for the abstraction or discharge of water from surface waters and for the abstraction, extraction and discharge of groundwater.
