The company providing the training registers the trainee with the Oberstufenzentrum responsible for the training occupation. For some training occupations, vocational school instruction is provided in cross-state specialized classes outside the state of Brandenburg.

A training contract is concluded with a training company before the start of vocational training. This is the contractual basis for vocational training in a recognized training occupation and contains all the essential information about a training relationship.

The school-based part of the vocational training takes place at the vocational school in the Oberstufenzentren of the state of Brandenburg. Registration for the vocational school is carried out by the training company.
