What do you need an official registration confirmation for and who issues it?

In certain matters, authorities, institutions or other bodies require the submission of a registration certificate.
This contains the following data:
Surname, first name, date and place of birth, current address, date of moving in.
A registration certificate is issued immediately upon personal appearance and presentation of an identification document.

Identity card or passport

In principle, a fee of EUR 5.00 is payable.

A fee exemption for issuing a registration certificate in social matters (e.g. pension and benefits matters) is possible in accordance with the fee schedule of the state of Brandenburg.

After registering or deregistering with the registration office, you will receive written confirmation in the form of an official registration confirmation.

The official registration confirmation contains your surname, first names, doctor's degree, date of birth, date of moving in or out, date of registration or deregistration, address and an indication of whether it is your sole, main or secondary residence.
