Companies that carry out the activities listed in § 45 paragraph 1 of the Ordinance on the Handling of Water-Hazardous Substances (AwSV) on the plants and plant parts specified therein require certification as a specialist company.
Upon request, specialist companies must provide proof of their status as a specialist company to the competent water authority. This must also be proven to the operator of a plant if he commissions the specialist company with activities that are subject to specialist operations.
Certification as a specialist company according to § 62 WHG is carried out by the competent authority.
