Children, adolescents, parents and other legal guardians may contact the competent authority for parenting issues, personal or family-related problems, as well as questions and conflicts in connection with separations and divorces.

Depending on the age of the child or adolescent, the reason for visiting a counselling centre may be, for example, developmental delays, sleep, eating and speech disorders or fears. At school age, performance and behavioral problems often occur, which can increase in intensity during puberty. Often parents feel overwhelmed with the educational tasks.

But also relationship difficulties of the parents, problems with separation and divorce often require professional help and support from the responsible authority.

Parents and other guardians have a legal right to educational counselling. Children and young people can also visit a counselling centre without the presence of their parents.

No documents are required.

There are no fees.

There are no deadlines to be observed.

The responsibility lies with the education and family counselling centres.
