The conservatorship is a free offer of the Youth Welfare Office.
A conservatorship may be established for:
-
the determination of paternity, or
-
the recovery of child maintenance.
A written application to the Youth Welfare Office is sufficient.
The following are eligible to apply:
the parent who has sole parental authority,
in the case of parents who have joint parental authority, the parent with whom the child lives;
the expectant mother (or her representative if the mother is legally incapacitated) if the child has not yet been born.
Upon receipt of the application, the Youth Welfare Office immediately assists the child.
The conservatorship ends as soon as the applicant requests this in writing.
The Youth Welfare Office at the place of residence of the applicant parent is responsible.
