If you have received funding for projects in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, you must provide evidence of how this funding has been used.

As the funding recipient, you must provide evidence of the use of disbursed funding for projects in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.

You must meet certain requirements in order to provide evidence of the use of the disbursed funding. In particular, the requirements set out in the grant notification must be met and the funding must have been used for the intended purpose in order to achieve the purpose of the grant.

To this end, you must submit a factual report and numerical evidence that proves the use of the funding.

As part of the audit of the proof of use, the audit authority may request supporting documents, supplements and explanations and carry out local surveys.

The audit of the proof of use may result in (partial) reclaims and interest claims.

• For municipalities: certificate from their own auditing institution
• Further documents can be requested by the responsible authority if required

• Payments must already have been made

• You must observe the deadlines for submitting the proof of use: Proof of use must be submitted to the approval authority within one year of fulfillment of the purpose of the grant, but no later than one year after the end of the approval period
• The proof of use must show that the funds were used for the intended purpose and that the purpose of the grant was achieved

• The use of funds already disbursed for projects in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region must be proven to the Lüneburg Office for Regional Development (ArL). You submit the proof of use together with the necessary evidence, reports and receipts
• If the purpose of the grant has been achieved or the approval period has ended, the proof of use must be prepared
• The auditing authority checks the documents with regard to compliance with the requirements from the grant notification and the appropriate use of the funding as well as the achievement of the purpose of the funding
• If necessary, the audit authority can request additions or explanations and carry out local surveys
