The state of Lower Saxony provides grants to promote the sustainable development of the Lower Saxony North Sea coastal fishing area with funds from the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) and the state of Lower Saxony.

The federal state of Lower Saxony provides funding from the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) and from the federal state of Lower Saxony to promote the sustainable development of the Lower Saxony North Sea coastal fishing area.

Funding for the development of the Lower Saxony North Sea coastal fishing area is possible for projects to implement the strategy for integrated local development of the fishing area, among other things.

The project must be presented in advance to the established local Fisheries Action Group (FLAG). If the FLAG makes a positive decision, a grant can be awarded.

• The project must be carried out in the Lower Saxony North Sea coastal fishing area
• The project for the sustainable development of the fishing area must comply with the approved "Strategy for the integrated local development of the Lower Saxony North Sea Coast fishing area".
• There must be a positive decision by the FLAG
• Funding can only be considered if the eligible expenditure exceeds €10,000 for applicants under public law and €3,000 for applicants under private law.

There are no costs.

• The project must be presented to the FLAG before the application is submitted.
• The FLAG selects eligible projects by resolution.
• You apply for funding by submitting all relevant documents to the FLAG
• The granting authority decides whether your application is approved and issues a grant notification
• Proof of use must be submitted after or during the implementation of the project.
• The proof of use is checked and the grant to be awarded is then determined by means of a notification.
• You now apply for payment of the grant.

The processing time varies depending on the scope and type of funding.

Deadlines for the applicant only arise from the grant notification.
