Section 15 (1) - (3), (5) and (7) of the Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)

If you want to hunt with griffins or falcons, you must carry a falconer's hunting license in your name. For this purpose, you can apply for an annual hunting license under certain conditions.

If you want to hunt with griffins or falcons in Germany, the so-called pickling hunt, you need a German falconer hunting license in your name. You can apply for this as an annual hunting license.

• Hunting licence or restricted hunting licence for falconers o the certificate of the hunter's examinationor certificate of the restricted hunter's examination for falconers
• Certificate of the falconer's exam

• Proof of statutory hunting liability insurance

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.

If you submit the application in writing, fill it out and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a falconry hunting license.

The annual hunting licence is valid for a maximum of three consecutive hunting years. The hunting year begins on 01/04 and ends on 31/03.
