At a vocational school, you can improve your secondary school leaving certificate or receive further support if you are still of school age.
There are three different classes in full-time form at the vocational entry school:
- BES - Class 1,
- BES - Class 2 and
- BES - Class Language and Integration.
At the entry-level school, you can choose between three different disciplines and get to know at least one profession:
Fields:
- health and welfare,
- Technology
- Economy.
You will not be able to graduate from school in grade 1 . You will receive additional encouragement and support in this class. After that, you can transfer to class 2 or start an apprenticeship. At the end of grade 1 you will receive a certificate. With this you can get a recommendation for class 2.
In Class 2 , you have these two options:
- acquire the main shot degree, or
- improve the lower secondary school leaving certificate.
If you come from grade 9, you will be advised in an introductory meeting at the vocational school.
In this interview, the vocational school will decide whether you can go directly to grade 2.
In the Language and Integration class you will learn the German language. You will not be able to complete a secondary school diploma in this class. But you can get a recommendation for class 2.
If you have a written commitment to participate in an entry-level qualification (EQ), you can attend Class 2 or the Language/Integration class on a part-time basis .
With an EQ , you have about 12 hours per week in the vocational school and the other time you do a paid internship in the company.
You can also acquire or improve your secondary school leaving certificate in grade 2 on a part-time basis.
In the Language/Integration class , you have the opportunity to improve your German language or to receive special educational support.
You must hand in the following documents at the school:
- Your curriculum vitae in tabular form,
- Your half-year report from the last school you attended and
- the registration forms of the vocational school filled out by you.
If further documents are required, the responsible vocational school will inform you.
Requirements for admission to BES - Class 1:
- They are still required to attend school.
- In a consultation, it was determined that you have individual support needs.
Requirements for admission to BES - Grade 2 in full-time form:
- You have successfully attended Grade 1 or the Language and Integration class in full-time form.
- They come from grade 9 and do not have a secondary school diploma.
- You have a secondary school leaving certificate and in your initial counselling at the vocational school it was determined:
You need to improve your knowledge and skills so that you can successfully complete vocational training after the BES.
Prerequisite for admission to the BES - Class 2 in part-time form:
- They meet the requirements for admission to BES - Grade 2 in full-time form.
- You have a written commitment to participate in an entry-level qualification (EQ).
Requirements for the BES - Language and Integration Class:
- You are new to Germany and are between 16 and 18 years old.
- They have an increased need for language support and come from general education school.
Requirements for the BES - Language/Integration class in part-time form:
- They have a need for language support or special educational support.
You have a written commitment to participate in an entry-level qualification (EQ).
- You hand in the completed registration form with the necessary documents to the vocational school.
- If you can be admitted to the vocational school, you will receive an invitation to a counselling interview.
- In this consultation, your registration documents will be used to find out about
- different career paths and
- the ways to support you, spoken.
