Three months in France

In close cooperation with the partner academies Normandy, Reims, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Toulouse, the Regional State Office for Schools and Education (RLSB) Hanover mediates exchange partners on behalf of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education. It supports the participants, the families and the schools in all phases of the exchange (preparation, implementation and evaluation).

Voltaire Programme - German-French School Exchange

The Voltaire Programme of the German-French Youth Office offers pupils the opportunity to apply for a six-month school stay in France. In return, a French student will be accepted and will take part in the exchange partner's lessons.

In Lower Saxony, pupils in the 9th and 10th grades of schools with lower secondary levels I and II can apply. In individual cases, pupils from secondary and secondary schools as well as pupils at full-time vocational schools (upper secondary level) can also apply. In exceptional cases, pupils of the 8th grade can also be considered. The prerequisite for placement is that there are applications from pupils with a comparable age and education structure on both sides.

German-Spanish student exchange between Lower Saxony and Castilla y León

The Ministries of Education and Cultural Affairs of Lower Saxony and Castilla y León jointly organise an annual six-week student exchange in the partner country. This exchange is aimed at all Spanish-learning students in Lower Saxony who are in the 9th or 10th year of a grammar school, a comprehensive school or a secondary school with a grammar school offer during the exchange period.
