Erlaubnis zum Daueraufenthalt-EU beantragen

With the EU permanent residence permit, foreign nationals are allowed to move more freely within the European Union (EU). It is equivalent to the settlement permit in many respects and is a permanent residence permit.

• Proof of compliance with passport and visa requirements
• Proof that you have been living in Germany with a residence permit for at least five years without interruption
• Proof of secure livelihood
• Proof of health insurance coverage
• Proof of pension contributions paid or payments to a comparable pension institution
• Proof of sufficient knowledge of German as well as basic knowledge of the German legal and social system
• Proof of sufficient living space for you and your family
• Proof that there are no grounds for expulsion or other reasons of public security or public order that prevent the granting of the EU permanent residence permit.

• Your identity has been clarified and you comply with the passport and visa requirements.
• You have been living in Germany for at least five years without interruption with a residence permit.
• Your livelihood and that of your relatives, whom you have to support, is secured by fixed and regular income.
• You are insured under statutory health insurance or have unlimited or automatically renewable health insurance cover.
• You have paid contributions into the statutory pension insurance scheme or into another pension scheme with comparable benefits.
• You have sufficient knowledge of German as well as basic knowledge of the German legal and social system.
• You have enough living space for you and your family.
• There are no grounds for expulsion or other reasons of public security or order that prevent the granting of the EU permanent residence permit.

You must apply for a permanent EU residence permit at the competent immigration authority.
