There are no additional costs for registration.

Public domestic broadcasting is organised independently of the state. The organizers and thus responsible for the offers are the ARD state broadcasting corporations, ZDF and Deutschlandradio. In order to finance them, they are entitled to collect the legally stipulated broadcasting fee. For this task, they have set up the Joint Contribution Service as part of their self-government. This is therefore not a state authority.

In the private sector, the owner of an apartment must pay a broadcasting fee.
