If you end your work as a sworn interpreter or authorised translator, you must notify the Regional Court of Hanover and return the original certificate or certificate to the Regional Court of Hanover.

The general swearing-in of court interpreters, interpreters for official and notarial purposes, sign language interpreters and the authorisation of translators to transmit language for judicial, official and notarial purposes for the territory of the State of Lower Saxony is carried out upon application to the Regional Court of Hanover.

A register is kept of the generally sworn interpreters and authorised translators, which can be viewed by courts and authorities as well as by notaries' offices and is also published on the Internet with the data to which consent has been given.

The list of sworn interpreters and authorised translators is published on the Internet at the address https://www.justiz-dolmetscher.de/Recherche/.

If you end the activity, this must be reported to the Hanover Regional Court. The original of the certificate issued as a court interpreter or certificate of general swearing-in as an interpreter and/or authorisation as a translator must be returned to the Regional Court of Hanover.

Application and return of the certificate issued by the Regional Court of Hanover as a court interpreter or the certificate of general swearing-in as an interpreter for official and notarial purposes and sign language interpreter and/or authorisation as a translator in the original.

There are no prerequisites to be met
 

After the application has been submitted and the certificate or certificate of general oath and/or authorisation has been returned, the report will be deleted from the public register.

The notified termination of the activity will be processed immediately.

The termination of the activity must be notified to the Hanover Regional Court immediately after the end of the exercise.

No legal remedy, as only the deletion of an entry in the register of sworn interpreters and/or authorised translators is carried out.

- The original must be returned to the certificate of general swearing-in as an interpreter and/or translator immediately after the application for deletion has been submitted.
