The examination includes, among other things, proof of basic knowledge and consists of two written and, if necessary, one supplementary oral part of the examination.
The acquisition of professional aptitude is also a prerequisite for authorisation for national road passenger transport.
The competent body carries out the examination and, after successful completion, issues the certificate of expertise.
In addition to the specialist examination, equivalent final examinations may be recognised:
- Final examinations as a merchant in rail and road transport, focus: passenger transport
- Final examination for further training as a transport specialist
- Final examination as business economist (DAV), passed at the German Foreign Trade and Transport Academy in Bremen
- Final examination as Diplom-Betriebswirt/Diplom-Betriebswirtin in the Department of Economics I Degree course in Transport Management and Logistics at the University of Applied Sciences Heilbronn
- Degree in Transport Economics from the Technical University of Dresden
