Kulturdenkmal: Veränderung/Abbruch - Genehmigung

A protected cultural monument may only be used with permission

• destroyed, demolished, dismantled or disposed of,
• redesigned or otherwise altered in its inventory,
• its appearance is not only temporarily impaired (e.g. by advertising facilities),
• be removed from its location.

The authorisation requirement also applies to:

• the not only temporary removal of accessories of an immovable protected cultural monument, which forms a unit worth preserving with it, as well as
• the construction, modification and removal of structures in the vicinity of an immovable protected cultural monument that may affect the appearance of the monument.

The permit can be granted subject to conditions, e.g. the management of the measure can be ordered by an expert.

There are no fees.

There are no deadlines to observe.

The responsibility lies with the lower monument protection authority or the commissioner for the archaeological preservation of monuments in the district or municipality, which is responsible for the task of the lower building supervisory authority.
