Transplantation Act (TPG)

Organ donation can save lives. And it doesn't always just affect others. You yourself, your family or a good friend may suddenly be in need of a life-saving organ donation or tissue transplant. Be it due to a serious illness or an accident.

The MSAGD and its partner in the Initiative Organspende RLP (IO-RP) provide information on the topic so that people in Rhineland-Palatinate can learn more about organ donation and at the same time become open and sensitive to the issue.

Whatever you think about organ donation - make a decision. Carry an organ donor card with you, which clearly documents whether or not you wish to donate in an emergency. By the way: Your relatives will also be grateful if you make this decision for them.

Organ donation is a very personal decision and of course voluntary. It is regulated in detail and clearly in the Transplantation Act (TPG) of 1997 so that it cannot be abused.
