Have you received a vaccination and suffered damage to your health as a result? Then you can claim and apply for benefits.
Have you suffered any damage to your health as a result of a vaccination or other specific prophylactic measure? Was this vaccination publicly recommended, ordered or prescribed by law or carried out in accordance with international health regulations? If so, you can apply for benefits in accordance with the German Federal Pension Act (BVG) for the vaccination injury and the health and economic consequences of the injury.
Depending on the established degree of the consequences of the injury, the benefits include
- non-income-related benefits, such as basic pension, care allowance, clothing wear allowance, severely disabled person's allowance and
- income-related benefits such as compensatory pension, spouse's supplement, compensation for occupational injury.
- Please enclose birth certificate or present identity card or passport when submitting the application in person
- Confirmation of registration
- Proof of citizenship (if not German citizenship)
- for applicants who are not EU nationals: proof of legal residence
- any medical documents in your possession (e.g. medical reports)
- Power of attorney, guardian's certificate or certificate of appointment, if applicable
- Vaccination card / vaccination book / vaccination certificate
In principle, there are no deadlines to be observed. In order to receive care from the onset of the injury, the application must be submitted within one year of the vaccination.
If a vaccination has been publicly recommended, ordered or prescribed by law or carried out on the basis of international health regulations, you will receive care in accordance with the Infection Protection Act on application due to the health and economic consequences of the vaccination damage.
The claim for compensation is directed against the federal state in which the vaccination was carried out. In Rhineland-Palatinate, the responsible authority for processing these applications is the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care.
