If your personal education is to be continued at a vocational school, you must submit a corresponding application for admission to the desired school.

Vocational schools provide both general and vocational training. They have an extensive and diverse range of educational opportunities, from vocational maturity to general higher education entrance qualification. The vocational school in Rhineland-Palatinate is divided into the following types of school:

• Vocational preparation year (BVJ)
• Vocational school (BS TZ)
• Vocational schools (BF1, BF2, 3-year BF, higher BF)
• Vocational secondary schools (BOS1, BOS2, DBOS)
• Fachoberschule (FOS)
• Vocational High Schools (BGY)
• Technical Colleges (FS)

In addition, vocational training and promotion organisations offer initial training and vocational promotion measures with special learning aids and targeted support for the individual.

Registration deadlines must be observed, often this is March 1 of each year. Please contact the relevant vocational school.

Vocational schools provide basic or specialist knowledge for professions or a specific occupational field and enable school-leaving qualifications from vocational maturity to general higher education entrance qualification.

To register to attend a vocational school, please contact the school directly. In the case of dual training, the training company usually takes over the registration.
