Fischereischein Ausstellung

If you want to fish, you need a fishing license. This is issued by the municipal administration on request, provided that you have passed a state fishing examination or there are facts that make it unnecessary to take the fisherman's examination (see fisherman's examination).

For fishing, you also need a fishing permit from the fishing license or fishing tenant of the respective body of water.

• Certificate of a passed state fishing examination or proof of an examination as a professional fisherman
• Passport photo
• Identity document

The competent authority for issuing the fishing licence, the juvenile fishing licence or a special fishing licence (for persons with physical, mental or psychological disabilities) shall be:

1. for persons domiciled in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the administration of the municipality (Verbandsgemeinde, non-affiliated municipality, large district-affiliated city, district-free city) in which the applicant has his or her place of residence,
2. for persons residing outside the Land of Rhineland-Palatinate, the administration of the municipality in which the applicant intends to fish.
