Together with the land register, the real estate cadastre ensures the security of ownership of the land and gives it marketability and creditworthiness. It consists of the real estate map, in which all parcels and buildings are shown to scale with their spatial boundaries, and descriptive information, which includes, for example, the parcel and parcel number, the official area size, the location designation and the actual use. In addition, the data of the owners and heritable building owners are also recorded for information purposes.

The state ordinance on the fees of the surveying and cadastral authorities and the expert committees (special fee schedule) is applicable. Fees of between 20.00 and 40.00 euros are charged for printed extracts from the real estate cadastre, depending on the format.
