Section 15 (1) - (3) and (5) of the Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)
If you want to hunt, you can, under certain conditions, have a day hunting license issued by the competent authority.
If you want to hunt in Germany, you need a German hunting license in your name. If you do not want to hunt regularly, you can apply for a day hunting license.

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.
If you submit the application in writing, fill it out and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.
The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.
If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a hunting license.
