As a mining entrepreneur, you must report certain operational events involving personal injury to the competent authority.
If you are an entrepreneur in the mining industry, you are responsible for possible hazards. They must immediately report operational incidents in which persons are injured to the competent authority. This refers to events that cause or have caused injury or death of one or more persons.
If you fail to do so, you are committing an administrative offence punishable by a fine of up to EUR 25,000

You are active with your company in the mining industry and an event occurred in which one or more people were injured.
You can report accidents online via the "BergPass" platform or directly to your local mining authority.
View accident reports online via the "BergPass" platform:
- Go to the online platform "BergPass" and register.
- To register, you need a bundID and an identity card or residence permit with an active online ID function.
- Go to the advertisement form and fill out the advertisement completely and truthfully.
- Upload the required documents as a file and submit the advertisement.
Report accident reports directly to the responsible mining authority:
- Get in touch with your local mining authority and coordinate the required documents.
- Submit the notification and all documents to your local mining authority.
Further procedural steps:
The competent authority will examine your notification and the documents submitted. If documents are missing or further orders are required, the mining authority will contact you.
