If you wish to hunt in Germany as a foreigner and you have not passed a German hunting examination, you must carry a foreigner hunting licence in your name. You must apply for this.
If you wish to hunt in Germany as a foreign citizen, you will need a German hunting licence in your name. If you do not provide proof of a German hunting examination, you can apply for an annual hunting license for foreigners under certain conditions.
The annual hunting licence must be presented to the persons entitled to hunt and police officers on request.

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.
If you submit the application in writing, fill it in and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.
The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.
If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a foreigner hunting license.
The annual hunting licence shall be valid for a maximum of three consecutive hunting years. The hunting year starts on 01.04. and ends on 31.03.
