§ 15 paragraphs 1 - 3 and 5 as well as § 16 Federal Hunting Act (BJagdG)

If the validity of your youth hunting licence expires or has already expired and you wish to continue hunting, you must have it extended.

If you want to hunt in Germany, but you are not yet 18 years old, you can only be issued a youth hunting license in your name. If you already have a hunting licence whose validity has expired, you can apply for an extension.

You can submit the application in writing or, if available, online.

If you submit the application in writing, fill it in and submit it by post or in person to the competent authority.

The application and the evidence to be provided will be checked for completeness and correctness.

If you meet all the requirements, you will be issued a youth hunting license.

The day hunting licence is valid for 14 consecutive days.

The youth hunting licence entitles the holder to hunt only in the company of a person with custody or a supervisor appointed in writing by the person with custody; the accompanying person must be experienced in hunting.

The youth hunting license does not entitle the holder to participate in group hunts.
