§2 paragraph 17 sentence 3 of the GefStoffV

If you want to have your already acquired qualification recognised as a competence, you must prove equivalence to the authority.

If you have already obtained a qualification comparable to the required expertise, for example vocational training or further education, you can have it recognised as equivalent by the competent authority. You also have this option if you have acquired a corresponding qualification abroad.

Proof of existing qualification (contents of the qualification, certificate)

• Qualified training comparable to the required expertise for the planned activities and uses
• Proof of foreign qualification must be submitted in German

Costs: variable from 200 to 1000 Euro

An equivalence of the recognition of a competence can be submitted to the competent authority by e-mail or post.

• They shall submit the necessary documents to the competent authority
• The competent authority will check your documents and give you feedback.

Contradiction

• Expertise according to the Hazardous Substances Ordinance Recognition of an equivalent qualification
• Required documents:
  • Proof of existing qualification (contents of the qualification, certificate)
• Qualified training comparable to the required expertise for the planned activities and uses
• Notification by e-mail or post
