If you run a business or are a freelancer, you can apply for a parking permit in some states. This allows you to park in certain areas for the duration of your work assignment.

"This administrative service is not offered in Rhineland-Palatinate. You can find out whether you can claim this in other federal states when you enter the location in which you would like to claim the benefit in the Bürger- und Unternehmensservice Rheinland-Pfalz."

Vehicles of a commercial enterprise or a self-employed person can obtain a parking permit from the competent authority. This can, for example, entitle you to free parking in restricted no-parking zones, in resident parking zones or in parking space management zones (parking spaces with parking meters or parking ticket machines). As a rule, the exemption only applies to certain individual activities of the business or the self-employed person.

Pay attention to the exact content of the exemption. When using the exemption, other persons in particular must not be endangered or hindered.

The competent authority shall examine the application for the parking permit. There is no entitlement on the part of the applicant.
