An operating license for a branch pharmacy can be issued upon application.

If there is an emergency in the supply of medicines because there is a lack of pharmacies to supply the population, you as the owner of a nearby pharmacy can apply for permission to operate a branch pharmacy. Branch pharmacies have fewer facilities than normal pharmacies, but these are also regulated by law.

Branch pharmacies must be administered and the administrator requires a permit from the competent authority.

As a rule, you will not be granted a permit for more than one branch pharmacy.

The permit is granted for 5 years and can be renewed.
