If you are planning to put certain medium-sized combustion, gas turbine or internal combustion engine plants into operation, you must notify the responsible immission control authority in advance.
The obligation to notify generally applies to all combustion plants with a rated thermal input of at least 1 MW and less than 50 MW, whether or not they require a permit.
In the case of aggregated combustion plants, you must notify the planned commissioning if the combined rated thermal input is more than 1 MW and less than 50 MW.
The authority responsible for you will then enter the information you provide in a register of installations, which is publicly accessible.
You want to commission a medium-sized combustion, gas turbine or internal combustion engine system.
- You submit your notification with the required information to the competent authority in writing or electronically.
- The competent authority will check your notification and request further documents if necessary.
- Upon receipt of the notification and the complete documentation, the competent authority will register your installation in the register of installations within 1 month.
- After registration, you will receive confirmation from the competent authority.
You are committing an administrative offense if you do not submit the notification, or do not submit it correctly, completely, in the prescribed manner or on time.
