Health insurance companies offer spa stays as measures to prevent illness. These include

• Father-child cures (measure)

Children can either go along for their own treatment or (usually up to the age of 12) as an accompanying person.

As a rule, the health insurance companies select a suitable spa clinic, but take individual wishes into account.

A cure lasts three weeks. You do not have to submit any leave to your employer for this period. The approval is valid as a certificate of incapacity for work.

The necessary documents are prepared by the attending physician.

For mothers and fathers:

• Their health is severely weakened. This condition could probably lead to illness in the foreseeable future.
• An illness that has already occurred should not worsen
• there is a risk of needing care

For taking children with you:

• You have parental authority
• The child/children are also at risk of health problems or are ill.
• The child/children cannot be cared for in any other way.

The child/children are still too young to be separated from the parent.

Insured persons aged 18 and over pay a co-payment of 10 euros per day.

You consult with your family doctor and fill out the health insurance application form together. This is submitted to the health insurance company for approval.
