If you want to ensure that your holographic will is found and opened in the event of succession, you can place it in special official custody. Custody in court also protects your will from forgery or loss.

Notarial wills are placed in special official custody directly by the notary public at the probate court.

Fees are payable for special official custody and the opening of dispositions upon death.

Submit an informal application for the official safekeeping of your will at the district court.

The acceptance for safekeeping of the respective disposition upon death is ordered by the registrar of the district court and carried out jointly by him and the clerk of the registry. The custody takes place under joint seclusion of the registrar and the registrar of the registry. The court is obliged to have your will or inheritance contract recorded in the Central Register of Wills at the Federal Chamber of Notaries.
