Architektenliste Registrierung ausländische Antragsteller beantragen

If you are an external service provider, you have the option of registering in the special directory of external professionals at the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Architects.

Persons who have neither a place of residence nor a place of business nor a place of predominant professional activity in Rhineland-Palatinate may use the professional title "architect", "interior architect", "landscape architect" or "urban planner" without being entered in the list of architects if certain requirements are met.

They must notify the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Architects in advance if they are not registered in a list of architects and urban planners in Germany and wish to carry out the activities specified in the Architects Act for the first time on a temporary or occasional basis. The Chamber of Architects lists them in the register of foreign professionals.

• Proof of your nationality;
• A certificate stating that you are legally exercising the relevant activities in your country of residence or establishment and that you are not prohibited, even temporarily, from exercising these activities at the time the certificate is submitted.
• A certificate of professional qualification;
• Proof in any form that you have exercised the relevant activity for at least one year during the previous ten years

The requirements can be found in § 10 of the Architects Act.

The fees are based on the statutes of the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Architects.

The application is submitted to the Registration Committee of the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Architects for a decision. The registration committee is a body with judicial independence that checks whether the requirements for registration are met.

A decision on the application must be made within the shortest possible time, but in principle within three months of receipt of the complete supporting documents at the latest.

There should be at least three months between submitting the application and taking up the planned activity.

You have the option of lodging an appeal against the decision of the registration committee with the competent administrative court. The appeal period is one month from notification of the decision.
