The granting of approval by the higher administrative authority must be announced in the usual local manner.

According to Section 6 (1) of the German Building Code (BauGB), the land use plan requires the approval of the higher administrative authority. The higher administrative authority is the respective district administration, and the respective structural and approval directorate for land use plans of independent and large district towns.

The granting of approval by the higher administrative authority must be published in accordance with Section 6 (5) sentence 1 BauGB. The land use plan becomes effective upon publication. Publication of the land use plan itself is not planned.

With the resolution on an amendment or supplement to the land use plan, the municipality can also determine that the land use plan is to be published again in the version that it has undergone as a result of the amendment or supplement (Section 6 (6) BauGB).
