Are you looking for an apprenticeship? Then take a look at the regional apprenticeship portals of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce and Chambers of Crafts.
In addition to the companies and vocational schools, there is another partner in the dual training system in the skilled trades: the inter-company vocational training centers (ÜBS). The courses held there supplement the in-company training with modern and practical content.
The ÜBS impart basic and specialist knowledge that cannot be covered or not fully covered in specialized or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As a result, differences in the quality of training are avoided through a corresponding supplementary and compensatory function of inter-company training.
The obligation to participate in the inter-company training courses results from the corresponding training regulations or from resolutions passed by the responsible committees of the chambers of crafts and trades. The trainee is then obliged to participate and the trainer is obliged to release the trainee from training. In addition, there are voluntary offers for inter-company training.
No documents are required for mandatory courses. The invitation is sent automatically.
- There is a training relationship with a corresponding training contract
- The training takes place in a recognized training occupation
- Appropriate courses are offered regionally or nationally in this training occupation
- The training regulations allow for inter-company training or make it mandatory
The costs are borne by the training companies themselves and reduced by subsidies from the state and federal government.
The courses are planned and scheduled by the providers. If participation is mandatory, they invite the trainees to the courses and inform the companies about the course times.
The deadlines can be found in the registration conditions of the chambers of crafts and trades or the providers of inter-company training courses.
Participation in all prescribed compulsory courses is part of vocational training. Attending courses in the skilled trades provides good support for passing the journeyman or final examinations.
If you are a trainee, please contact your training company.
If you are a training company, please contact the chamber responsible for you or, in the case of non-mandatory courses, the provider.
The Chamber of Crafts, in whose apprenticeship register the apprenticeship relationship is registered and entered, is responsible for the implementation of mandatory inter-company training courses.
