Closed Substance Cycle Management Act (KrWG)
Local statutes of the districts and independent cities (usually separated into waste disposal statutes and waste fee statutes, published on the Internet or the official gazette/district gazette)
The disposal of waste and thus also of household waste/residual waste from private households as well as other disposal waste from other areas of origin is the task of the districts and independent cities.
The disposal of waste from private households and other disposal waste from other areas of origin is the responsibility of the public waste disposal authorities (districts and independent cities). Regulations on the applicable waste disposal system and individual provisions are laid down in the statutes. This includes, among other things, information on waste charges, waste containers (prescribed size of the garbage can, ordering option), waste calendars (collection intervals, route plans of the pollutant mobiles), collection and delivery systems for various types of waste (e.g. green waste, e-waste, paper), disposal of organic waste, bulky waste disposal and the types of waste approved for disposal in the grey bin.
Please ask the public waste management authority responsible for you which documents you need to submit.
Consultation with the public waste disposal authorities required
As for waste disposal as a whole, there is no nationwide uniform fee regulation for the disposal of household waste/residual waste by the districts and independent cities.
Information on the costs incurred can be found in the respective waste fee statutes of your public waste disposal authority.
