Project funding in the arts and culture sector serves to provide targeted support for projects carried out by natural persons and legal entities recognized as non-profit organizations (clubs, associations and regional working groups, societies, foundations, initiatives, groups or institutions (municipal cultural institutions, regional authorities, other sponsors of cultural projects). Grants can be awarded for the implementation of non-commercial cultural and artistic projects and for investments.
The following are eligible for funding
- cultural, artistic and cultural-historical projects of supra-regional or exemplary importance
- Construction and renovation measures, maintenance, renewal, expansion and improvement of the equipment of cultural facilities
- Expansion of media holdings in public libraries and collections in museums and galleries
- Operating and equipping the offices of nationwide associations
- Establishment and expansion of non-profit technology pools
Not eligible for funding:
- Measures that serve commercial purposes
- Carnival projects
- Production and procurement of uniform clothing
- City and community anniversaries, parades
- Production costs for commercial publications, media and recordings
- Art in public spaces
- Contemporary art projects (please apply to the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Thuringia)
There is no legal entitlement to the grant. Grants are awarded on the basis of dutiful discretion within the framework of the available budget funds.
- Project application (project description, self-presentation of your work or career, description of the objectives pursued, summary of the expenditure and financing plan)
- Detailed expenditure and financing plan with confirmation of third-party funding (if available)
- Articles of association or partnership agreement
- Proof of non-profit status
- Extract from the association or commercial register
- Application deadline is usually
- March 31 of the previous year for grants over EUR 50,000
- 15.10. of the previous year for grants up to EUR 50,000
- Local authorities whose budget has not yet been confirmed by the application deadline must adhere to these application deadlines, but submit the application "subject to confirmation of their budget".
Eligible applicants are
- natural persons and legal entities recognized as charitable (e.g. registered associations, federations and regional working groups, societies, foundations),
- artists,
- Cultural institutions under municipal sponsorship,
- local authorities and
- other sponsors of non-commercial cultural projects.
Only those who have their registered office or place of residence in Thuringia or whose project demonstrates a special connection to Thuringia are eligible to apply.
Responsibility lies with the Thuringian State Chancellery.
