Exceptions to the ban on truck driving on Sundays and statutory holidays are possible under certain circumstances. You must apply for these at the responsible office.
On Sundays and public holidays, trucks with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 7.5 t and trailers behind trucks are not allowed to drive between 0:00 and 22:00. This ban does not apply to certain goods (e.g. various perishable foodstuffs).
Under certain conditions, an exemption may be granted upon application.

According to the Fee Regulations for Road Traffic Measures (GebOSt), there is a general fee range of 10.20 euros to 767.00 euros for a decision on an exception to the traffic ban for trucks (Geb.-Nr. 264).
The exemption must be applied for in writing.
