Under certain conditions, you must submit the advance notice of a construction site to the responsible office. You can find information on this here.

If you want to set up a construction site where

• the expected duration of the work is more than 30 working days and on which more than 20 employees will be working at the same time, or
• the scope of the work is expected to exceed 500 person-days,

you must provide the competent body with advance notice.

There are no fees to pay.

Advance notice shall be provided no later than 2 weeks prior to site installation.

The advance notice must be posted visibly on the construction site and adapted in the event of significant changes.

According to Section 2 (3) of the Construction Site Ordinance, a safety and health protection plan must be drawn up in the case of several employers or particularly hazardous work, and a safety and health protection coordinator must be appointed in accordance with Section 4.

It is an administrative offense within the meaning of Section 25 (1) No. 1 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for anyone who intentionally or negligently fails to provide the competent authority with advance notice, or fails to do so correctly, completely or in good time.

• Any person who intends to set up a construction site where the expected duration of the work is more than 30 working days and where more than 20 employees will be working at the same time, or where the scope of the work is expected to exceed 500 person-days, shall submit an advance notice to the competent body.
