If you need a mortuary passport, then you can apply for its issuance at the competent authority.
A mortuary passport is required for the transfer of a corpse to another state only if that state or a state touched on the journey requires one.
A mortuary passport is also required for the transfer of a corpse abroad if the country of destination or a country touched on the journey requires one. The mortuary passport is issued in several languages.

Fees for the issuance of a mortuary passport are charged on the basis of the ThürAllgVwKostO (Thuringian General Administrative Costs Ordinance).
If necessary, you can apply for an extension of the deadline in accordance with Section 17 (3) of the Thuringian Burial Act (ThürBestG) at the public health department if 10 days have passed after the death was determined.
