Anyone wishing to rent recreational boats or personal watercraft for non-commercial use must have a boating certificate for each vessel.
If you rent pleasure boats or personal watercraft for non-commercial use, you need a boat certificate for each vessel.
The boat certificate is issued upon application by the operator. The boat certificate may be issued subject to conditions and may be subject to requirements.
The issuance of the boat certificate is to be revoked if
- the vessel loses its status as a recreational craft within the meaning of this Ordinance or essential equipment is inoperable or no longer available, or
- the recreational craft is rented out with the provision of a skipper or crew or for the purpose of commercial use.
The boat certificate is limited to a period of two years, in the case of new shipyards to a period of three years. A subsequent extension for two years at a time is possible after prior examination.
- For non-commercial rental of recreational boats or personal watercraft, a boat certificate is required for each vessel.
