If you have questions about vaccinations, you can contact the health department.

Vaccinations are one of the most important measures to prevent diseases. For example, some diseases no longer occur or occur only very rarely because people have largely had themselves vaccinated.

Before vaccines are approved, their efficacy and safety must be proven in studies. Afterwards, the independent Standing Commission on Vaccination (STIKO) reviews to whom the vaccination should be recommended in Germany and when it should most sensibly be administered. The individual consultation with your doctor or the medical service (public health department) of the districts and independent cities is based on these recommendations.
