If you have questions about psychosocial issues, you can contact the social psychiatric services at the health offices. You will receive counseling there.

The social psychiatric services at the health offices offer the following counseling services:

• social-psychiatric counseling for those affected
  - for support in coping with mental illness in the home,
  - to initiate and prepare occupational rehabilitation or day-structuring measures,
  - for admission to protected forms of housing (e.g. outpatient assisted living, psychiatric family care)
  - to improve meaningful leisure activities
  
  
  
  

• advice for relatives, including professional support for self-help groups

• practical support in the home, insofar as this is not the responsibility of other facilities and services, e.g. assisted living.

• Social psychiatric services provide counseling and support services regarding mental illness and limitations for those affected and their families.

• Further opportunities for psychological counseling are offered by the psychosocial contact and counseling centers run by independent organizations, the self-help contact centers for affected persons and their relatives, or the specialists in private practice.
