You would like to study at a university? Then you have to register online in the application portal of the university of your choice and then apply.

If you want to study at a university, you must register and apply for a degree program online.

Use the relevant application portal of your university if you want to study a degree program in a first or higher semester. The portal of your chosen university will tell you whether your target degree program is subject to local or central admission restrictions and which portal, if any, requires additional registration.

For some degree programs, such as Master's programs or international applicants, there may be special application channels. Please refer to the regulations of the respective university.

If you would like to study at the Gera-Eisenach Cooperative State University, you will need a training contract with a training facility approved by the university, a so-called practice partner. Accordingly, you apply directly to one of these practice partners.

• Completed application form
• Valid university entrance qualification and/or master's entrance qualification
• Proof of complete academic history, if applicable
• Proof of academic achievement, if applicable
• If applicable, proof of further documents, depending on the course of study
  

• In particular, you must have a university entrance qualification valid for the respective university.
• If you can demonstrate outstanding scientific or artistic talent, the university entrance qualification may be waived for relevant courses of study.
• In order to be able to study in a higher semester, you must have already been enrolled in the same or a similar course of study at another university and be able to present suitable achievements and competencies, which are documented by a crediting and placement certificate as proof of suitability for the higher semester.
• In order to apply for a Master's degree program or a continuing education program, you must in most cases fulfill further admission requirements, which will be communicated to you by the university and are regulated in the study regulations of your desired program.
  

There are no fees for the application.
Separate fees for aptitude tests may apply.

An online admission application is used to apply to an admission-restricted program:

1. Registration
2. Upload of the application documents (depending on the study program) and submission of the application.

You will be informed about the result of the application and document check by the university or the website "Hochschulstart".

In the case of an open-admission program, you can then apply directly for enrollment.

The processing time varies within the legally prescribed deadlines depending on the degree program.

If the application is complete and in due form within the application deadline or if the application for enrollment is complete and in due form within the enrollment deadline, the university will process the application in such a way that participation in the award procedure or, in the case of enrollment, enrollment is ensured by the beginning of the semester.

In degree programs with restricted admission, the legally prescribed application deadlines apply. In the other study programs, the deadlines set by the respective university apply.

• The (special) admission requirements of the desired degree programs must be taken into account
• It is important to comply with the required form and deadline
• If you do not meet the required prerequisites for a study program or do not comply with the respective required form and deadline, your application cannot be considered
• In some cases, you may be able to claim compensation for a disadvantage or a case of hardship when applying for a place on a degree program with restricted admission. This can increase your chances of being admitted to the program. If you have the relevant evidence, such as a school report or a medical certificate, you can apply for an improvement in your grade when you apply and submit it to the university of your choice. Please also submit the reports/attestations with the application.
  

You can appeal against the decision of the university - the admission or rejection notice.

If the university's decision is not changed in your favor, you can file a complaint with the competent administrative court.
