The validity of the certificate of international mediation may be extended by 1 year upon request.
The adoptive parents receive a certificate of proper placement (certificate of international placement) from the international placement office.
This certificate can be used to settle official proceedings related to the adopted child.
The certificate is valid for 2 years and ends with the court decision on the intercountry adoption. If the proceedings are not completed within the 2 years, the certificate can be extended by 1 year upon request.
- The certificate on an international mediation procedure is only required if there is no certificate according to the Hague Adoption Convention.
