Here you will find information on registration as a corporation in the register of corporations at the Chamber of Architects of Thuringia.

If a corporation wishes to establish itself permanently in Thuringia and use the professional titles "architect", "interior architect", "landscape architect" or "urban planner" in the company name or in the name of the corporation, as well as the addition "free" or "freelance", it must be registered in the register of corporations of the Chamber of Architects of Thuringia. The registration must be applied for in writing.

As a rule, the following documents are required:

• Copy of the Articles of Association / Memorandum and Articles of Association and, if applicable, amendments in certified form.
• Copy of the list of shareholders / supervisory board members
• Copy of the list of managing directors / board of directors
• Copy of the application to the Commercial Register /Partnership Register
• Proof of professional liability insurance according to § 33 ThürAIKG
• Proof of payment of the registration fee

• Domicile or a branch office in Thuringia
• Proof of the existence of an adequate professional liability insurance of the company
• The object of the company (purpose of the company) must be the exclusive performance of freelance professional tasks which correspond to the professional title used in the company name
• the majority of the capital and the voting shares among the partners must be held by members of the Chamber of Architects whose professional title and affix are listed in the company name
• the professional affiliation of all partners must be made clear
• the majority of the persons appointed to the management or the board of directors must be members of the Chamber of Architects, whose professional title and affix is used in the company name
• capital shares may not be held for the account of third parties and voting rights may only be transferred to members of the Chamber of Architects or companies that are allowed to hold shares in the company
• in the case of a joint-stock company and a partnership limited by shares, the shares must be registered shares
• the transfer of capital and business shares must be subject to the consent of the company

For the procedure before the Registration Committee, the following fees are payable upon filing the application:

• Registration of a corporation: EUR 500.00

The registration committee of the Chamber of Architects will decide on your application.

The Chamber of Architects decides on the application for entry in the register of companies within three months of receipt of the complete documents. The deadline may be extended once by up to one month in individual cases if this is justified due to the specifics of the matter.

No deadlines need to be observed.

The company does not become a member of the Chamber by registration in the register of companies. Membership fees are not charged.

Before filing an administrative court action against a decision of the registration committee, the Chamber of Architects does not require a review in preliminary proceedings (opposition proceedings).
