As a party or voter group, do you need information from the population register? You have the option of applying to the registration office for group information from the population register.

In the 6 months prior to an election in connection with parliamentary and municipal elections, parties, electoral groups and other sponsors of election proposals may obtain the following information on persons entitled to vote from the civil register by way of group information:

• First and last names,
• degree of doctorate,
• current address.

If the person inquired about is deceased, this will be communicated.

The age must be decisive for the composition of the group, i.e. only data of eligible voters of individual age groups are transmitted.

Group information can only be provided for election canvassing purposes. Group information to parties and voter groups for other purposes is not permitted.

Requests for information in connection with elections for groups of eligible voters, insofar as age is a determining factor in their composition

The information is only possible in the 6 months before an election.

This data may only be used for advertising an election or vote and must be deleted or destroyed no later than one month after the election or vote.

The registration office cannot provide information if a block on information exists or a blocking notice is entered in the population register. Furthermore, every data subject has the option of objecting to the transfer of his or her data.
