If you manufacture weapons commercially and/or trade in weapons, you must report the commencement or cessation of operations.

The competent authority must be notified of the commencement or cessation of operations for the commercial manufacture and/or trade of weapons.

Failure to do so constitutes a misdemeanor pursuant to Section 53 (1) (8) of the Weapons Act.

• Weapons manufacturing license or weapons trade license

The firearms manufacturing license or firearms trade license must have been issued.

The weapons authority charges a fee in accordance with No. 1.1 of the Annex to the Thuringian General Administrative Costs Regulations.

The notification must be made by the holder of the firearms manufacturing license or firearms trading license to the firearms authority responsible for the place of operation.

The notification must be made within two weeks of the commencement or cessation of operations.

Any person who fails to make the notification, or fails to make it correctly, completely, in the prescribed manner or in good time, shall be deemed to have committed an administrative offense. The administrative offense may be punished by a fine of up to ten thousand euros (§ 53 paragraph 1 No. 8 in conjunction with. Paragraph 2 WaffG).

• Notification of the commencement or cessation of operations for the commercial manufacture and/or trade of weapons.
• The commencement or cessation of operations must be reported.
• The notification must be made within two weeks.
• Competent authority: the weapons authority responsible for the location of the operation. Weapons authorities are the counties and independent cities.
