If you wish to operate a hatchery or a breeding and propagation farm, you must register with the competent authority.
Hatcheries with a capacity of 1,000 hatching eggs or more or breeding and multiplication farms with 100 animals or more are required to register.
- Animal husbandry registered with the competent veterinary and food monitoring office
- Receipt of the application
- Any queries from the authority
- Verification of compliance with the requirements
- Registration and issue of an identification number by written notification
If a complete application with all the necessary documents is submitted, the processing time is approx. 2 to 3 weeks.
- Hatcheries with a capacity of 1,000 hatching eggs or more or breeding and multiplication farms with 100 animals or more are required to register.
- Prerequisite: Animal husbandry registered with the competent veterinary and food inspection office.
- Costs are incurred.
